LKPU Consulting gives UM students a head start

University Fund Limburg and LKPU Consulting to Launch New Scholarship Programme.

LKPU Consulting has initiated a scholarship programme with UFL, aimed at supporting aspiring German students. Jan Koppetsch, an alumnus of Maastricht University (UM) and Managing Partner at LKPU Consulting, was instrumental in facilitating this partnership, which emphasizes LKPU’s commitment to educational accessibility and talent development.

Giving back: fostering educational opportunities

The newly launched LKPU Management Consulting Scholarship Programme is a testament to LKPU’s dedication to fostering educational opportunities. Designed to provide assistance to six German students facing financial constraints, this three-year programme will commence in the upcoming academic year 2024/25 at the School of Business and Economics, with plans for expansion into other faculties in the future.

Motivated by his gratitude towards his alma mater, Jan Koppetsch expressed his enthusiasm for giving back: “When we as LKPU Managing Partners began exploring scholarship programmes to support, Maastricht University was already at the forefront of our list. Maastricht University School of Business and Economics laid the foundation for my career, and at LKPU Consulting, we strive to provide similar opportunities for others. Through this scholarship, we aim to empower talented students by offering them the resources they need to succeed.”

A scholarship: much more than education

The LKPU Management Consulting Scholarship Programme goes beyond financial assistance, encompassing a rent allowance, educational materials, and professional development opportunities. Scholarship recipients will also have the chance to undertake their master’s thesis at LKPU, providing valuable insights and enhancing their prospects in the job market.

Guido Vanderbroeck, representing the University Fund Limburg, expressed gratitude for LKPU’s contribution, emphasizing its multifaceted support for students: “We are grateful for LKPU Consulting’s commitment to the Equal Chances Programme, which not only covers for educational resources, but also enhances students’ employability of students by providing them with firsthand experience in a successful consulting company”.

This collaboration between the University Fund Limburg and LKPU Consulting underscores the importance of partnerships in advancing equal educational opportunities and nurturing talent within the academic community and more specifically UM.
