We are proud to announce that Fondsen in Nederland (FIN) has recently awarded the Code of Good Governance to the Limburg University Fund. FIN represents the interests of funds and foundations and is also the platform for mutual knowledge exchange and promotes quality and effectiveness in the sector.
We attach great importance to good governance and transparency, and are therefore proud to have received the Code of Good Governance quality mark. It is a wonderful confirmation of our commitment to integrity, responsibility and professional conduct within our Fund.
Conscious good governance and supervision are essential for a healthy philanthropic sector. With the FIN Code of Good Governance (hereinafter: the ‘Code of Good Governance’), the Association of Funds in the Netherlands (FIN) demonstrates how it has organised self-regulation as a trade association for its member funds. The Code of Good Governance sets out principles and elaborations that are endorsed, applied and complied with by FIN members, in accordance with mandatory legislation and regulations, articles of association and internal regulations.
“The board of the Limburg University Fund (SWOL) declares that it complies with the FIN standards for good governance and has submitted the Annual Declaration of Compliance with FIN Standards for Good Governance, which is reviewed periodically.”
