Limburg Fund for Rehabilitation

The Limburg Fund for Rehabilitation aims to support and promote scientific education and research in the field of rehabilitation, in particular carried out at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences at Maastricht University.

In addition, the Limburg Fund for Rehabilitation wants to promote interactive cooperation between Maastricht University and the rehabilitation field, in particular the cooperation between the rehabilitation medicine department of the UM and the knowledge centre of the Limburg-based Adelante Care Group, which has adult rehabilitation and reintegration into the workplace, paediatric rehabilitation, audiology & communication as its core activities.

The Limburg Fund for Rehabilitation aims to achieve this goal by:

• making financial resources available for research and educational projects;
• acquiring additional resources from third parties;
• inviting social partners to financially support special projects.

Spending committee

The fund has an advisory committee that assesses the expenditure of the Limburg Fund for Rehabilitation. The members of this committee are:

• Ms. Y. van Horn (Adelante Board of Directors);
• Ms. Prof. Dr. A. Verbunt (professor of rehabilitation medicine at Maastricht University).
