Stichting Mia Keulaerds Scholarship

The Stichting Mia Keulaerds Scholarship was established in memory of Mia Keulaerds, a teacher from Heerlen who was passionately committed to inclusive education. In collaboration with Stichting Leergeld Parkstad, the scholarship is intended for students pursuing a three-year bachelor’s degree at Maastricht University (UM).

Who is eligible for the Stichting Mia Keulaerds Scholarship?

The scholarship is available to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Born and residing in one of the seven Parkstad municipalities: Heerlen, Kerkrade, Landgraaf, Brunssum, Beekdaelen, Simpelveld, or Voerendaal.
  • Applying for a three-year bachelor’s degree at one of the faculties of Maastricht University.

How to apply for the Stichting Mia Keulaerds Scholarship?

Maastricht University offers various scholarships, some of which are administered through the University Fund Limburg. Most scholarships, including the Stichting Mia Keulaerds Scholarship, must be applied for annually by 1 May. The selection and administration are managed by the Scholarship Office at the Student Service Centre (SSC).
