UCM Fund

With the help of alumni and third-party private individuals, the UCM Fund aims to award scholarships to promising students from less affluent backgrounds, enabling them to enrol in the Bachelor’s programme in Liberal Arts and Sciences at University College Maastricht.

The fund also aims to provide financial support for activities undertaken by UCM students that are in line with the objectives of UCM but for which no regular financial resources are available. This includes, in particular, travel and accommodation costs for attending conferences, publication costs and research costs.

Finally, the UCM Fund aims to provide resources to students who are in financial need and who are unable to alleviate this need in any way.

Spending committee

The advisory committee of the UCM Fund consists of:

• Mr. Dr. W. Giernalczyk, dean of UCM and chair;
• Ms. G. Lange, student counsellor at UCM;
• Ms. P. Sieben-Luijten, alumni officer at UCM;
• Ms. L.  Smeets, student counsellor at UCM.
