Thanks to a received legacy, the FPN Spearhead Fund has been established. In accordance with the donor’s wishes, the fund will be used to support innovative research with societal relevance within the Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience (FPN). The fund will finance four research projects that align with the faculty’s main research priorities:
Research at FPN focuses on urgent societal challenges, particularly in the field of mental health and wellbeing. The faculty studies psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, and addiction, as well as the neurological mechanisms underlying these conditions. In addition, researchers investigate how social and cognitive processes influence behaviour. FPN’s interdisciplinary approach combines psychological and neurobiological insights to develop practical solutions that contribute to improved mental health and care, especially for vulnerable groups.
The projects encourage collaboration between different research groups within FPN and with researchers from other faculties.
In this way, the FPN Spearhead Fund contributes to innovative research that strengthens mental health and wellbeing in society.
